SUBJECT: Dumfries Marine to the rescue Submitted by Charles Prue (164.214.4.61) from MARYLAND on New Horizons Bass Anglers had a club tournament on Saturday, when we put the boat in the water the owner couldn't get it to start and Anthony from Dumfries Marine came over to help even though he was in the tournament with us and they were blasting off at the time. After trying to jump start the cranking battery found out that at least 2 of the batteries were bad. Had some power to the trolling motor but not much. I have dealt with Anthony before and knew where his business was so he gave me the keys to his shop and told me that I could drive down and pick up 2 new batteries that he had on a rack in his shop if I wanted to. Well I managed to catch a fish early off of the rocks and the batteries were so weak that the livewell wouldn't even run so I went and got the batteries. Got the outboard started and the trolling motor working better. Managed to get out on the river and catch a limit of fish to finish sixth in the tournament. This is becoming a common occurance in our club of Anthony and Dumfries Marine really going the extra mile for all of us, not just the ones that have bought boats from his business. Thanks again Anthony for saving our day. Charlie
