I live in south carolina and fish for blue on santee cooper in the flats 4 to 8 ft of water. Week before last my friend and I did great with one fish over 30lbs and 15 from 8 to 12 lbs. Well here is the question! I took another friend out the next week and got there at day break and nothing but GARS everyehere. The nihgt before we had a small cold front that lasted 8 hrs could that have caused it? And where did the cats go did they leave and go into the river for deeper water? I'm confused?

I remember my Dad making bait with a bucket of blood and salt and Anise oil. Can anyone give me a recipe so I can get the proportions right? Any and all help will be appreciated.
