Date Fished: 4/12/2008
Water Temperature: 27
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Fished the L&L Marine Couples tourney out of Franklin Ferry Marina Saturday. I could not get find any good largemouth while pre-fishing so we went for the early morning spot bite. What a blast. My wife had 7 hits in her first seven casts. She landed 4 of these, loosing a small fish and one that looked to be better than 3 pounds. When I finally got to fish I caught 3 more and lost 1 on top water also. We caught several more fish during the day, finally catching a fish around noon that added about 4 ounces to our total. Fish were caught on Rapala Skitter Pop top water, white Zoom trick worms, and redbug Zoom U-tail worms. Finished in fourth with 11.75. Took 14 and change to win. Next up will be Logan Martin on May 10.
