Subject: Oconee, Georgia

Submitted by Florida Sun 16230 (ip 173.160.71.204)

Date Fished: 10/29/2009
Water Temperature: 64
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Had an absolutely beautiful day weatherwise. Can't help but reflect on God's wonderful sense of humor. This time last year, we were complaining about the drought. This year we complain about the rain. Water was surprisingly clear. Fished around Granite Shoals part of the lake. Thanks to Oconee Al for the info. He was right on. Fish were definitely shallow. The most efective bait was shallow-running shad rap, shad color. Saw lots of baitfish on the screen, but saw 0 topwater action. Ended up with eight fish in the boat. Nothing large but good action.
