It's great to see more reports this week. I may need to use the info because my last two trips have been slow. I fished yesterday and I decided to check some shallower stuff because my main lake fish haven't wanted to play this week. Found some schooling spots and small stripers in the back of a lower lake creek on a big flat. They were busting bait in under ten feet of water. I caught a few of these fish by reeling a SPRO BBZ1 Shad through them. It seems like the spots and stripers want these swim baits to be worked with a steady medium fast retrieve lately which I like because it's an easy way to fish. I use a fast sink model and let it sink for a few seconds then I reel it back at a pretty quick pace. When the fish hit it make sure to let them load on before setting the hook. After catching a few and missing several more I went and fished some submerged rocks and stumps that were close by and caught a good spot and that was it for fish catching. I stayed several hours after dark and for some reason I couldn't buy a bite. Just a week ago the were crushing the crankbaits but not last night. My buddy Chris had said that the solar/lunar tables showed great fishing for the day but I have always struggled with catching fish after dark on a full moon. I prefer dark nights or a few days before and after the full moon. Good luck and God Bless! Eric
