Coming to Logan Martin this weekend and I haven't been there in over a year. What are the bass doing now? Schooling, shallow or deep? How is lake depth, temp, and color? Just fun fishing for weekend pleasure with a friend. Are they chasing crankbaits, traps, jerkbaits, or worming, etc.. Thanks for all info...Rick

I've given it a try several times over the last few weeks. While numbers remain good at 20/30 or so a trip, size has become a frustration for me. Only a few around the three pound mark, with an average of 1.5 pounds. The water temp hits a high of about 63 and the color is a somewhat stained. The lake is about 4 feet below full pool. Much of the bait seems to be migrating back toward main river. Lots of schooling activity when you can find bait that remains in the back of creeks and sloughs. Shadraps and spinner baits are working. The fish seem to prefer a very slow retrieve. Move around until you find shad concentrations, not necessarily on the surface, and you will likely catch a number of fun fish, and maybe a larger stripe or two.
