Subject: Guntersville, Alabama

Water Clarity: 0

Have a trip planned to Guntersville for Saturday and Sunday. Can anyone give me a best guess on what the conditions will be like by Saturday? Muddy or not back off the main channel? Don't want to drive up from S. Alabama if the conditions are going to be tough!

and go somewhere closer. Fishing has been worse than tough for a bout a month. Someone made a comment that everybody was catching alot of 2-3 lbers just not big ones and i tell ya what, no one is catching "alot" of anything except catfish. you can find a few on top throughout the day and one here and there flippin or froggin but surely aint enough to drive from south alabama. I live in decatur and I dont want to go there for a while! Its been a long time since i have wanted to put in at wheeler instead of drive to guntersville!

The fishing here has been mighty slow but witih the rain we just got and the cooling tempertures I thing the bite will be back on Not sure when you are fishing but I am sure the upper end will start muddying with all the rain we got. Mid way around Goose Pond S Sauty N Sauty Siebo and Water Front should be ok. If you can wait another week or two the bite especially the frog bite should really be underway. Good luck
Weather-wise From: TheJigMeister, Alabama
It should be perfect. Mostly sunny and warm. Around 80, with wind around 4 or 5. The water should be down into the 70's with all that rain. I think it will be fairly muddy down to Seibold or so by Saturday. We had a ton of rain. The fishing has been horrid for Guntersville. If you pick up 10 bass each day you'll be lucky UNLESS this cold rain turns them on. It's a little early for schoolers or a good frog bite en mass but nothing has been normal this year.

If you make the trip, I hope you have a great time and catch 'em! I'll be out there Saturday at least until noon or so.

Jiggy
