Subject: Lanier/Chestatee River, Georgia

Submitted by Dirk

Date Fished: 10/4/2011

Water Temperature: 56
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Went to Hammonds and they had some nice hyperactive trout and then went up top the north-end Chestatee side and put in. Water at the ramp0 was about 67 when I put in I think, but I ran way up river and it was in the 50's and VERY clear up there. I caught a nice 28 lb 41 inch long stripe up there, but that was the only bite I got all morning (I was floating the trout under a balloon into the deeper holes). Headed down lake and pulled some trout around down there and got a nice LM. Not sure how to post multiple photos on BFHP so I might have to put the photos as separate reports. Tight Lines. Dirk
