Hey Rd -

Thanks so much for the note. Great to hear from you!

Normally, I don't take the time to respond to idiotic comments made on these forums, whether directed at me or elsewhere, particularly when they are posted by cowards hiding behind a screen name, but with this one, I just couldn't resist.

First a few thank-you's to my pal Rd:

1. Thanks for the extra publicity - you can't buy publicity this good - the Lanier fishing community is "buzzing" over this one. My phone has been ringing off the hook all day - apparently other people want to know where your brush piles are too!!

2. Like Mr. Barnes and Mr. Lane, I appreciate your yard-work - please keep it up! (p.s. - while you're moving the piles, I will be fishing and smoking toads.)

3. A special thank you for following my tournament career. I am tickled to know I have fans! I bet you were really stoked for me when I fished the Hammond's winter trail with a customer, and actually worked with him, taught him, and got us competitive as a team (against a very strong field I am guessing from which you were absent) after only 4 tournaments and finished 3rd in the Hammond's Classic this March. I am sure you were proud of my teaching efforts on that one - thanks for noticing.

4. "Jumbo" - dang that was funny - and original! I have NEVER heard that one! Outstanding effort. If you had posted as "Rw" I would have thought you were Ron White. I am still slapping my knee over that one. Put a red nose on you and you could entertain at children's parties.

Lastly, a request. In the future, so that I make sure to avoid fishing the brush piles that you put in and will now be moving daily, can you please place the sign my wife created for you above on all your brush piles? No charge for the design work - it's on the house buddy. Please make sure to use steel posts for the signs - wood could rot and leave your piles vulnerable. BTW, you do get the required permits from the Corps of Engineers, right? I am sure a person of your upstanding stature would not be building brush illegally? Perish the thought.

Thanks again Rd - I do hope we have the opportunity to chat face to face soon - just like real grown up's do everyday.

To everyone else who follows my reports and I help - my apologies for the above - I just couldn't leave this low hanging fruit on the tree...or brush!! I'll be back soon with a report on how the fish are biting on Rd's brush. We whacked 'em pretty good today.

Thanks gang - and good luck to everyone out there - keep on the lookout for the red signs - they should be easy to spot.

Jimbo
