'JB CUSTOM RODS~PIEDMONT BASS CLASSICS $5,000 SUMMER TRAIL QUALIFIER #1 RESULTS

Falls Lake ~ June 30th ~ Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp ~ June 30, 2012

28 teams showed up at Falls Lake for the 1st qualifying tournament of the 2012 JB Custom Rods~Piedmont Bass Classics $5,000 Summer Bass Tournament Trail. Summer has come in with a bang! 74 degrees in the morning with no wind, then close to 105 in the pm with light winds. The summer trail participants can weigh in anytime after blastoff if they can't stand the heat, and a few did today. It was brutal to say the least. Ken Wall & Ben Cannon weighed in a great bag weighing 27.64 lbs which included a 7.71 and 8.94. They took 1st place, Big Fish and TWT, winning a total of $1,262! 104 fish were weighed in for a nice total weight of 317 pounds. Most fish were caught in 6 to 15 feet of water on plastic worms and crankbaits for the most part. Water temps were around 84 degrees. I want to thank all the anglers that participated and that support this trail.

Our next Summer Trail tournament will be at Jordan Lake out of Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp, Saturday, July 14th.
