Water Temperature: 61
Water Clarity: 0

I got out about 9 this morning as it was a cool night and I wanted it to warm abit. I told my wife when I left the fishing would be tough and I wouldn't be more than a couple hours. We had a pretty good cold front blow in on Fri. and the past two nights were down in the upper 30's couple that with bright bluebird skys and not much wind I had my doubts.

I put the boat in and just dropped the trolling motor motored across the cove to a little pocket, second cast with the jig I hooked one about 2 lbs,,,got my interest up fast. Several other boats in the cove so I worked a short stretch of bank and moved on.

Made my way into Cedar Cove, Started working the north bank near the first dock in. Bam, another good 2 lb fish on the jig. Got around the corner on the secondary and lost another decent fish. Alot of boats further back so I moved on.

Next cove I entered I went towards the back but seen it had several boats also, so I stopped between a couple of docks and pitched in the jig and the water came alive, my biggest of the day about 4 1/2 lbs. Fished several other areas in that cove with nothing to show for it, so across the lake to a tiny spot that I knew is a spawning area, managed a keeper out of there. Then on to a place my partner and I call the graveyard, as he had caught several out of there earlier in the week before the front. As I started into that area I picked up a spinnerbait as the wind was blowing a slight breeze onto the point, I caught a fat spot right off, worked the bank all the way in and out with both the jig and spinnerbait, with not any luck at all. I tried one last spot with nothing so I came in. All in all a good day.

The fish on Grand are really moving up for the spawn, I would think on the next full moon we will see a big bunch of fish spawning.

Till next time, Good Luck and Good Fishing
