Subject: Deer Creek Res., Utah

Submitted by Kastmaster (ip 159.201.17.2)

Date Fished: 3/21/1999
Fished from my belly boat. Mostly cloudy all day, kept fish biting. I used a 3/8 oz chart. jig with a 3" white power grub most of the time. Caught 35 perch, 13 smallies, and 3 largemouth. Fish were about 25' to 35' deep with the bass being on the deeper side. While navigating around some shore fishermen who were casting WAY out, I bounced the jig off the bottom in 75' of water, over some rocks. I hooked something very large. It took line out for 8-10 seconds, then turned and came back at me. When it turned again, the hook straightened out and I lost it. It was either foul hooked, or very large (or both). This happened right before I needed to leave, so I didn't get to really fish that spot thoroughly. I will on my next trip though! G/L G/F.
