Subject: Occoquan Resevoir, Virginia

Submitted by Gerry, BFHP

Date Fished: 5/2/2012
Water Temperature: 65
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Interesting morning in that I found lots of shad spawning but very few bass feeding on them. There were some big mud cats lurking around and they were very eager to hit my baits. Biggest was about 20 lbs.

Another thing that was kind of cool was I got to see a big copperhead feeding on the shad.

The bass appear to be busy in the coves.
