Fished a pond nearby hotel from 1:30p-2:45p before heading into work. Started with a weightless 7.5 inch Zoom watermelon seed U-tail worm. I caught 3 fish with the first 5 casts. Each was about a lb. Wind picked up a little, so I added a split shot. Nibbles (probably warmmouth)but no takers. Tried a white fluke and teq-sunrise 4" worm...again nothing. Switched back to u-tail and caught 2 more. One was 1/2 lb, and the last one was 1 3/4-2lb. They wanted the slow drop. Hits would come after about 10secs. Max water depth was 3 ft. Pond is drying up and less than 1/2 normal surface area, so they were concentrated in the deeper end. A fun hour before work!
