SUBJECT: # 4375: Horror on the water/ fishing with a partner

Submitted by riverflow (70.153.232.43) from FLORIDA on 10/11/2010 2:56:00 PM

Fished a 2 day tournment in south florida this past weekend...my partner pissed on my boat several times, spilt pepsi all over the carpet several times, dropped a snickers bar on my carpet and ground it in, scratched the gel coat & motor cowling not to mention didn't even help out with any cleaning or prepairing for the drive home...moral of the story is to be carefull who you let on your $60.000.00 dollar ranger boat........

When I first graduated college and moved to Oklahoma I knew nobody so I bought a brand new 1990 ranger 363V Bass Masters Classic rig. I got sick of fishing by myself or with some guys from the plant I worked at that had very little fishing skill so I decided to fish some of the bigger tournaments. At one Red Man tournament at Grand Lake I drew a saltly old fisherman but a nice guy. He said it was his first tournament ever so I invited him to my boat and basically showed him the back seat. I ran up to my truck for my sunglasses and when I came back he had spread out a whole coffee can of worms (yes, Nightcrawlers) along with the dirt all over my back deck. I told him first that he could not fish with live bait and second this is a brand new boat and he just poured mud and dirt all over it! He said it was a boat and get over it! I went up to the tournament chair and got him disqualified then I got a new partner.
