Anybody from the St. Louis area know any reputable Marine Mechanics/Shops in the area? I'd prefer not to go farther than Madison/St. Clair County in IL as I live in Madison County.

Thanks in advance for any info, it's much appreciated.

Mechanic Shop from boatmotor (24.217.21.15)  1/23/2001 7:20:00 PM
Hi Boatboy Have you heard of this dealer. http://www.nameokivillagemarine.com/ Regards.

good shop from Rocketman  1/23/2001 8:00:00 PM
There's a good marine dealer in Belleville, just out side of St. Louis. Have a friend that goes there. Not sure what the name is though. Sells Bullets.

   O'Fallon from Sms (12.13.248.4)  1/24/2001 7:40:00 AM
Cope Marine in O'Fallon. Been there for over 30 years. Call 1-888-267-3438 and ask for Byron (service manager). They are a full service dealer, including glass work. They just added Champion and Yamaha to their line and will be at the Belleville Boat Show this weekend.

If you have a Merc and need service the absolute best Mercury Mechanic in the area is just across the bridge in south St. Louis at Mungenast Motorsport. His name is Lynn Seimberger and the phone number is 800-233-1288

Thanks guys..... from boatboy  1/24/2001 1:32:00 PM
Especially Bass Fan, that's just what I wanted. Somebody passionate about the reputation of the mechanic/shop they use. Normally you can't go wrong with a shop that's highly recommended by your average Joe.

I've tried Cope in O'Fallon before, but they said they didn't work on Mercs, shame on them.

Thanks again...

Cope is now a Mercury, Yamaha, and OMC (sort of) dealer.

   St.Louis area Mercury dealers from mike m. (207.206.177.76)  1/25/2001 11:01:00 PM
I worked at Cope marine in O'Fallon. The only time we ever worked on mercury O/B's was if you had purchased used boat that had a mercury product already on it. There is a Mercury dealer in nearby Belleville,IL. called Taylor marine performance center try them.
