I have a MG756 that keeps burning out the direction indicator lamp. I finally took my multimeter to the bulb socket and found that on the 12V switch setting the lamp receives 12 volts. On the 24V switch setting the bulb gets 24 volts. Needless to say, it doesn't live too long. Anybody else run into this? Obviously not wired correctly. Please shed some light.... Thanks, Jan.

Had the same problem!! from Brad (24.217.53.243)  7/10/2001 2:19:00 PM
I had the same problem. It would get brighter on 24 volt! I had to replace my bulb about 2 times a year. But as easy as it was I did not worry over it too much. I now have a Genesis and love it!!! Brad

should be a 24 volt bulb from Trolling Motors Unltd  7/10/2001 4:08:00 PM
The light bulb should be a 24 volt bulb. It should get dim on 12 and brighter on 24. You are getting a 24 volt bulb for unit. This unit you have is a 24 volt unit. We have some in stock if needed. Ben

Ben, I'm curious from binkwood  7/10/2001 7:46:00 PM
I have a 36 volt TM, and my bulb keeps burning out (I don't really have much use for it anyway), but I'm curious, is this also a 24 volt bulb?

light bulbs from Trolling Motors Unltd  7/11/2001 2:52:00 PM
binkwood if unit is a 36 volt unit. It should have a 36 volt bulb. When 24 volts is applied the bulb is dim and bright when 36volt is applied. It makes no difference if 12/24 or 24/36 the higher volt bulb should be in unit.
