    Source for Ranger Boat Seats

I'm in the middle of a boat re-carpeting project, and I'm thinking about replacing the seats...all of them... while I'm at it. It's a Ranger 360-V (1987), and I'd like to get seats with the Ranger logo on them. I went to the Ranger website, and it wasn't very helpful as far as ordering parts goes. Can anyone recommend a source (website) for ordering replacement parts for an old Ranger boat? How much can I expect to pay? Thanks!

I'd call Ranger with your VIN# from JohnM  1/14/2007 12:53:00 PM
They are very good at keeping customers of their old boats happy. No one I know of that has lots of part has them all online. There is just to much to keep up with when you have that much stuff or the ability to make them. I'd guess you'll pay about 1,500.00 for all new seats without knowing if you have a bench in back, fold overs or butt seats?

Ranger not always the best from Glenn Abuelhaj (67.181.21.15)  1/14/2007 1:55:00 PM
I called for parts on my 1989 and they no longer supply parts for boats older than 10 years. This is what they told me. Go ahead and try but you may need to look elsewhere or do custom.

Good luck!

Sorry I gave bad info Bill from JohnM  1/14/2007 2:42:00 PM
Way back in early 90's last time I bought a new Ranger they bent over backwards to help out customers. I had seat problems on that boat and they sent me brand new ones. I guess when you start making/selling almost 6,000 boats a year somethings gotta give? I know I can still get any seat part I want for the old 97 Champion I used to own (a friend has it now) by calling the people that made them with the VIN#.

With what you need. They quoted me a price for the skins for my 87 373 last year. All they need is the vin not sure if they sell the whole seat still. JimC

Thanks all. from Bill Higgins (66.32.208.187)  1/14/2007 11:11:00 PM
Thanking everyone for the time it took to reply to my question. Really the skins are all that I need. I made the mistake of trying to clean the old ones with an acetone based solvent, and ended up taking off some of the dye coloring. They look kind of like a Palomino now. No biggy. I can get by with the old seats if need be. Take care and thanks again for your suggestions. - Bill
