    Bill Dance's boat

Rated:

I was watching Bill Dance one saturday and noticed he was driving a 210 procraft with a verado on the back? Is that a good combo for a bassboat?I didn't think so but maybe he knows something we don't.I truly enjoy his show though.

   Dance's boats from Wayne P.  1/6/2008 9:02:00 PM
I saw a show this morning with him blue gill fishing out of a Basstracker Panfisher 17. Brand new with no registration number. He was actually using a foot control motor !!!!

   why? from Jr (24.187.131.209)  1/6/2008 9:26:00 PM
Dan, why wouldn't that be a good combo? Just wondering, sounds like a fine rig to me. I agree he sometimes had some odd boat setups in the past though...

Dance never fishes a body of water over 3 acres in size from Jr (155.76.95.249)  1/7/2008 8:02:00 AM
he doesn't even need an outboard.

then you missed it from Jim (131.7.52.17)  1/7/2008 8:10:00 AM
I've seen him fishing Pickwick and other lakes using his procraft and running down the lake. Most of the time he fishes farm ponds or whatever but that is not the point. He is teaching different Techniques.

   Should... from Dan (69.61.149.179)  1/7/2008 8:46:00 AM
be a nice combo. The 210 is 20' 9'' boat, 93" beam, rated for a 250 HP. Not for me, but I would think it should push the boat plenty fast... Dan

   Verado from soggybottom (159.169.57.3)  1/7/2008 8:53:00 AM
I'm sure its ok, but I think after the pro's fished with the verado in Pittsburgh and the hype started to wear off, most people came to the realization that the verado is to big for most serious bass fisherman. Too heavy for shallow water applications. Not saying there aren't those out there that like the V but I wouldn't buy one for a bass boat.

Verado Site from jms (204.126.132.34)  1/7/2008 9:40:00 AM
Jr, Check out www.veradoclub.com, it's a forum run by Verado owners not Mercury.

Those farm ponds.... from PumaJeff (24.106.130.191)  1/7/2008 3:27:00 PM
that Bill fishes, are strip pits that he owns. :o)

   hank parker from MassBass320v (75.67.150.190)  1/7/2008 3:37:00 PM
I could be wrong, but I think I recall Hank Parker running a Verado on a Ranger, also.

be respectful to bill dance from cajunbearbass (75.90.195.239)  1/7/2008 8:13:00 PM
he is a great fisherman and human being which is a trait that most of us have neither of. stick to roland but like he would give a crap.

PumaJeff, the Pits from Bob (205.188.117.20)  1/8/2008 5:14:00 PM
PumaJeff, Almost all those pits that Bill fishes are in Florida around Mulberry,Plant City and Bartow and they are phosphate and the guy who got him in them is Charlie Reynolds formerly from Eagle Claw....Bill took out some executive's once during filming and he's been able to get in any one he wants unfortunatly we can't! We once snuck into one with a jon-boat and got to fish around the point from Bill for about an hour before a guy in a Jeep came by and ask us to leave,we gripped about it cause Bill was still fishing and the guy said to us "when you know the CEO maybe they'll let you in too. I've fished tourneys with Charlie for years and he said if I had a TV show maybe just maybe he could get me in. When you see him there again look for the power lines way in the back, thats pit 6 one of my favorites,we fish it all the time but none of the one's Bill gets in..It's not really as Bill makes it look either,he usually fishes the day before to locate them then they film the next day..You can watch from the bank if ya like but from outside the fence.. HWY 39 and HWY 98 will take ya right to them or if your on HWY 60 turn right at the Mulberry Phosphate sign and go South, pick a week day and Bill might be there..Good luck...

I agree, Bill is a class act from Joe (68.163.254.111)  1/9/2008 6:44:00 PM
Bill Dance is a fine person and a remarkable fisherman. Also he does not talk about it but he does great things for children in need, etc.
