They sell very few bass boats these days from Whiteboat  12/22/2009 4:48:40 PM
They are more into saltwater boats these days - Shearwater I believe is the brand.

Shearwater Boats from Harumph #11038  12/22/2009 5:10:07 PM
Here you will find detailed information about our boat. It is a 2003 Shearwater Coastal 2200 from American Marine Sports, Which is a sister company to Maritec Industries, The same Florida based company that manufactures Gambler Bass Boats.

Gambler from Santee Bass #10408  12/22/2009 8:45:05 PM
Gambler has an all new bass boat on the assembly line.I would guess that the 1st one will be finished by the end of this week or next week. The 2nd new boat id in the mold & more to follow. The new boat will be made in singe, duel & center consoles. You can read about it in the Gambler boat section on wwwbassboatcentral.com .

I know what Ive been told from dealer's who used to carry them... from RobShaw  12/23/2009 9:23:19 PM
But I honestly dont have first hand knowledge. You might want to do some research on former dealers and talk to them.

Shearwater is a quality boat from MikeF  12/24/2009 8:37:49 AM
It's one of the boats I considered the the last two times I purchased a bayboat. I have heard dealers complain about working with AMS but if they build the same quality in their bassboat it might be worth putting up with the hassle.

I too have heard conflicting stories of whether they'll be selling direct instead of through dealers. I don't see that working with the number of boats they build each year but with the changes in the market anything is possible.

But after my great experience dealing directly with the manufacturer on my last boat I wouldn't have a problem dealing directly with another boat manufacturer. Especially if they build a quality boat.
