100 % Synthetic Pennzoil: Where to Buy?

My source of the subject oil has dried up. Where can I buy this oil? WalMart used to carry it but no more in North Carolina. If not Pennzoil, please suggest an alternate for 100% synthetic and a source. Humminbird

Oil in NC from EdgemanP #12082 #12082  5/10/2012 10:39:13 PM
Check the auto parts stores. I haven't bought any since last year, but I was getting mine from advance auto. They never had more than 4 gallons on the shelf, but on a couple of occasions they had more in the stock room. I can't say that they still carry it, but that's somewhere to try. Amsoil TCW-3 is a good alternative. There are a number of private dealers around, so you should be able to get a contact.

   Pennzoil 100% synthetic from AlanW #10911 #10911  5/11/2012 9:24:01 AM
Some of the Wal-Marts in my area use to carry it, but none seem to do so now. If you have an Academy Sports in your area, they carry it, but it is near $40.00 a gallon after taxes.

I've tried getting Auto Zone, Advance Auto, and O'Rielly's Auto Parts around here to order/carry it, and they all say it is not on their list of available items they can stock, even though they carry most other Pennzoil products.

The Oil Store.com is also the best price, but you have to buy 3 gallons at a time, but turns about $8.00 a gallon cheaper than Academy Sports, but you have to wait on the shipping for Oil Store.com

try advance auto parts or bass pro from Beartrap   5/11/2012 6:18:47 PM
advance does carry it in many stores and if they don't you have to get them to order it for you....their warehouse does carry it and sometimes that takes a little pushing or promising to buy a case and pay for it in advance(no pun intended)....

Thanks for your suggestions. from humminbird #11206 #11206  5/11/2012 9:41:43 PM
BPS in Concord, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC do not carry 100% Synthetic.

oops-didn't read your post close enough from Beartrap   5/12/2012 11:18:14 AM
thought you were asking about the synthetic blend....(I've been using it for years without any problems)

What about security?? from humminbird #11206 #11206  5/12/2012 9:16:27 PM
I visited oil-store.com and found the site is unsecured. What has been others' experiences.
