Star Tron, Sta-Bil (Marine formula), and/or Seafoam from StevieP  9/18/2012 4:25:16 PM
I run one or the other, or some combination thereof, all the time.

Ringfree from Cougarcat  9/18/2012 4:58:49 PM
Yamaha wants you to run Ringfree and I always have in my boat. Costs more up front, I call it liquid gold, but you use one oz to ten gallons so it is actually less expensive.

I use it and havn't had any ethanol fuel problems. I use it in everything I have.

I use both Star Tron and Ringfree. Ringfree is for carbon buildup, not an ethanol treatment. I use Star Tron for ethanol.

I was told by my mower repair shop to start using StarTron in my fuel because they are seeing a lot of ethanol issues with customer's gas powered lawn equipment. My issues were the primer bulbs on all my small gas powered stuff drying and splitting after a few months of use. Eventually I had carb issues also, and once I started using StarTron as they recommended, no more issues. Starting using it in my boat fuel also as recommended by our local fishing guide who burns more fuel than the average person. He said he was having ethanol issues before and all problems have since gone away.

   ditto, I use Star-tron from MikeF  9/21/2012 9:38:54 AM
I use it and have no fuel related problems.

I started using it this year. It's hard to know what it's really doing to me, but I'm not having any fuel trouble. I think it's a kind of insurance or a preventative measure. Better safe than sorry.

Mercury Rejuvenate Oil as another alternative from Brad  10/1/2012 11:15:45 PM

this
what i use in my opti every 100 hours.

i know it works because my fuel economy (range) spikes after every application. i log fuel/milage for the 5 portable tanks so i am able to precisely monitor the milage per gallon consumed, over decades..

Just pour it in the oil res..

i suggest running your reservour down to min safe level, then adding this oil to get the highest ratio.
