O Rings for Senkos from Doug from Dallas  7/28/2004 9:28:00 AM
5/16 ID O-ring for #9 5" Senko (1/4" ID for 9S 4" Senko)....but also consider "U" fold a rubber band or wrap with a rubber band (the small rubber bands girls use for their hair). Home Depot, Lowes, etc. for O rings. Center of the Senko is two rings past the egg sack.

What I have tryed is using the rubber bands Orthodontists give out to kids for there braces, they work ok, but i havent used to many, or caught many fish using them yet.

The O rings are 17 cents a piece at HD. I buy #6 split rings and just compress them a little with pliers. At 69 cents a dozen they do the same job!

Wayne, Instead of O rings, I use the rubber bands that are used on dental braces. You can buy them CHEAP! You have to buy them by the 1/2 pound. That is about 10,000! Cost was $19. I have been giving them away for a year. Cant afford that many senkos. LOL Send me your address offline and I will send you a bunch to try. rthcool@aol.com

Started fishing Senkos and Trick Worms wacky style just this year but have found that the black O rings in the plumbing section of Home Depot and Lowes work better than split rings, at least for me. The #6 size is perfect for Senkos and #5 for Trick Worms. I forget the price but I believe you can get them for about a dime apiece.
