I need to get some new glasses for sight fishing. What colors do most people prefer? What about light conditions?

bright light from MikeF  4/29/2008 9:53:38 AM
Most of my fishing is in bright light and in those conditions I only used Green Mirror from Costa. In low light I use their Amber if I'm facing into the sun or nothing if I'm facing away.

What has worked well for me... from Jon_Mac #10584  4/29/2008 10:13:35 AM
 Bob,

I have a pair of older Hobie Sportsman polarized glasses with Photochromic Amber lenses that I like a lot. The photochromic feature is great as I can put them on at first light and not need to take them off until just about dusk. I find the amber lenses are very good in both bright light and low light/cloudy conditions.

I agree with MikeF Amber when there is low light and I prefer gray when there is bright sun light .I like the AES glasses they are made in the same place and by the same people as costas at a much lower price.

Don't forget about... from bass guitar #10534  4/29/2008 3:53:22 PM
...green! Or 'mossyback' as Solar Bat calls it. Makes bass, grass, anything green jump right out.

Another vote for Costa from MikeB/SpotCountry  4/29/2008 6:03:21 PM
Love my 580 Amber colored lenses for site fishing and watching big swimbaits get whaled by spots :)

I use from FINS -N- GRINS FRESHWATER ADVENTURES  4/29/2008 8:26:12 PM
Smith Action Optics in an copper lens for all light conditions. I do like the Fishbone style for blocking light from the sides as well. Seems to work good for me.
