my finely tuned, to out of balance CBs. Dunno. Should work, as long as you properly tune a bait first. If you have one running wide, I don't think I would try it on them, but it should work. Similar to adding the old solid wire to the back hook or even suspend strips wrapped around the back hook. Personally, I would like to see what it would do screwed onto the first hook, maybe both hooks. Might just suspend the bait, or close to it, unless you are throwing a big one. Wonder if they have different sizes for different size CBs? Or one size fits all? Dunno, like to try them. That is basically what I was doing when I said I could make ANY CB hunt, just over balance it with weight, w/o affecting the side to side wobble too much. Thanks for pointing that out Jeff.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Clunn's technique from Jeff Hahn  7/17/2012 7:47:40 PM

Back in 2001 when I fish the M1 tournament in Mobile, I drew Dion Hibdon the first day. Dion was telling me what Clunn does to some of his baits. He likes the Tiny Deep Little N for catching a limit or fishing under super tough conditions. He replaces the #6 rear hook with a #4,which throws the bait out of balance and makes it hunt. Kinda the same idea.

My ideas are not original, but recycled. I knew that is what he did, and many others do the same thing, but I just thought that it made sense, with all the time I have put in throwing a CB. I thought I had a good idea on why baits hunted, and Rick had the same idea, but 30 years before me. LOL.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
