Not to hijack but is there a reason nobodies mentioned one of the Guntersville places. Is't Scotsboro about ten miles away. Is it a money thing ,clean thing or what.

   Scottsboro from BCB #10868  6/10/2012 12:18:41 AM
Scottsboro is the north side of Guntersville and many events go out of there. Nothing against Guntersville proper and we have used that local most, though others use the north side by Goose Pond. Thus the suggestion on Scottsboro.

   Days Inn from Waldo #11975 #11975  6/10/2012 5:14:23 PM
The Days Inn at spring creek has been a good motel in the past. Reasonable and clean plus close to Wintzell's and Top o' River resteraunts. I wouldn't support Scottsboro since they fund the spraying of the grass in Roseberry Creek. Also the the state park is nice and a lot of guides use that ramp.

   Guntersville state park ramp from dontr20x #17419 #17419  6/10/2012 5:57:37 PM
Not meaning to hijack post, but are they enforcing the $3 fee to launch at that ramp?

To be more specific from stp357 #17928  6/10/2012 6:14:55 PM
The guide mentioned going out of Waterfront or Goose Pond. So which area would be closest to those ramps? Scottsboro or Guntersville?

Scottsboro for Goosepond, G'ville for Waterfront. from Oneeyedjack #13663 #13663  6/11/2012 9:29:46 AM
Actually, Waterfront is about half way between Scottsboro and Guntersville.
