I see the "cheaters" name is still promninently displayed on the Heartland Tournaments page at: http://www.heartlandproam.com/index2.cfm
of
rse, since he hasn't been caught in their events, maybe they'll just let him fish anyway? If I was running this series, I'd definitely be blocking his name on the site, at least white it out. For those worried about the PC approach, oh the poor little cheater, GET REAL.

Chaters Have Always Irked Me from GonFish'n (65.60.136.70)  11/15/2005 9:52:00 PM
Tournament Trail's website and sent an email, the text of which follows: "After all of the "to do" over Paul Tormanen's cheating scandal at the BASS Red River event, I'm surprised that you'd still list him on your website. Most reputable tournament organizations would, at the very least, white out his name. Of course, you could always take the PC route and make a statement such as; "Well he didn't cheat in any of our events" -- yeah, well how do really know? A cheaters a cheater no matter where they practice their trade. Your continued support of a cheater, on your website, says much about your organization. Don't bother to reply, I have never fished one of your events nor will I if you continue to take the course you're presently taking."

Kinda made me feel better after sending it although I doubt they'll do much to rectify the situation.

BASS Cheater from MCIPinkie (66.142.236.254)  11/15/2005 10:51:00 PM
Well Hoss, Cheaters irk all of us. I doubt you have fished any of the Heartland tournaments, so you probably haven't lost any money to him if he cheated in the Heartland. I have fished several of their tournaments over the past few years. None in 2005, I must admit. They are among the best organized and professionally run in the midwest. I know the Owner of the circuit personally, and can promise you that he is laying awake much more than you (or I) wondering what to do. I think I can safely say that Paul T. will not be fishing any more Heartland tournaments. Whether or not the circuit has any legal recourse against him and the about $60K he won this year, I don't know. Remember, this whole event is only three days old. Give the Heartland people a chance to react and to react properly. They will do what is right. I am sure.

Probably should have waited a bit but.... I have no doubt they're well run and that they'll do the right thing.
