Thanks

if you are talking about Smithville in Mo go to www.maout.com thye have a lot of info on the lake. It is about 8,000 acres and can handle most every type of boat.

If your making a trip just to fish Smithville - go somewhere else from Mark (144.226.230.36)  12/14/2006 1:08:00 PM
Smithville lake sucks and hasn't been good for years now. Maryland is a long way to drive just to fish a lake that has been fished out.

the other guys who posted here do not realize you are tallking about smithville lake on the border of md and de off of noble road near state rt. 404.

this lake is a alive and well, and holds fish. It is a perfet lake for a boat of your size. there are fish the there big fish too, with lots of big pickerel also. You may also want to check out some the tidal rivers in the rier also which hold some nice bass as well. if the tide is not good on a local tidal river, ie. tide is incoming, or very strong with no visibility go fish smithville.

Look at md department natural resources fisheries division for information on smithville including where the launch ramp is, restrictions, history, and licenseing info. Also, be sure to look for other lakes that may be closer, and look into to those tidal rivers.

Good luck fishing, catch and release only!
