  I just got a dealer notice from E21:

Carrot Stix TM
Lifetime Limited Warranty

. We stand behind our product.
Carrot StixTM
comes with an Original Owner Lifetime Limited Warranty against defects in workmanship or materials. If the rod proves to be defective in the first thirty (30) days of purchase you may bring it back to the place of purchase for an over the counter replacement.
Thirty one (31) days and beyond from the original purchase date, please follow 3 easy steps to obtain your replacement rod:
1. Call the Carrot StixTM
Our Warrantee Representative will be happy to assist you in your warrantee claim. If all our operators are busy, or you call after hours, please, leave your Name and Phone #, and will get back to you as soon as possible. (Warrantee Centre hours 9 am - 5 pm EST) Toll FREE 1-888-400-0321:
2. Get your unique Return Authorization Number:
Once you talk to the Carrot StixTM
Warrantee Representative, you will be given a unique Return Authorization Number (RA #) and a shipping address. If your require preferred shipping rates and potential equipment upgrades, please, let our Warrantee Representative know and they will be happy to assist you.
3. Shipping your Carrot StixTM
To claim your warrantee, make sure you include the following: :
A) A $39.95 fee for shipping and handling will apply to all replacement rods that are thirty one (31) days and beyond the original purchase date. Methods of payment accepted are an International Money Order or a valid credit card;
B) A copy of the original receipt;
C) The defective rod.
Warranty is void if the rod has been altered in any way from its original configuration, including unauthorized repair or damage resulting from misuse, abuse or use of the rod for purposes other than those for which it was intended.
Rod models, shipping, handling and other charges are subject to change without notice.
Implementation of changes:
1. Moved customer call centre from outsourced location in TX to the head office.
2. Targeted response to the new calls is 24 to 48 hrs, not including the current backlog.
3. Customer call centre deals with:
a. warranty claims
b. shipments and tracking
c. technical questions and product information
d. promotions and professional angler and consumer events
4. New warehouse and sorting facility, same facility used by Element 21 for the construction of its golf clubs (located in Sylvania Ohio).
5. Implementation of the Return Authorization Number (RA#) for all distributors, retailers and consumers. No return product will be accepted at the warehouse without the RA#.
6. Changes to the website to facilitate transition into the RA# of the warranty claims.

Broke rod,, 6-10 for the shipping tube,, the reciept-- humm,, where is that-- 40 bucks for them to ship back for 10 bucks ,, Looks like Fifty bucks for and a lot of hassle. Dont loose that receipt though!!! Just because you have the rod does not mean that Carrot Stick sold one too you! LOL

Most retailers I know are getting out of "Orange"-- same reason,, warranty claims,, how many you want for $99?

 been fortunate to only have one rod break that wasn't my fault.I don't buy $300 rods.I am partial to Kistler magesium rods and I buy them when they are on sale for half price.I use Shimano casting reels and old Cardinal 3,4,6 spinning reels.I don't have receipts for anything.The ink disappeared.If I broke a $300 rod my heart would give out and I wouldn't have to worry about a receipt or warranty anyway.Happy Thanksgiving

The rod cost the company about 7 to 10 dollars, now, they can even make money when you break one.....
