    Kistler rods question

I just bought 2 like new cond. Kistler Argon casting rods, Med 7' , at a pretty good price, (impulse buy); they have not even arrived yet. Started doing a little research, and according to many "reviews" they were problematic; I kind of went on the theory flawed blanks usually break early on... never owned a Kistler, any historic issues with this series?

Kistler's have been getting a bad rap for awhile... Personally I have half doz of so Mag's and a few Argon's, and have not had issues with any. Mine are from a few years back, different "years" may have different problems, if any at all. Most complaints refer to warranty issues, and replacement rods using different blanks, which can partly be explained in the below read...

I have read some of those reviews on Kistler rods and to me I can't understand most of them. I own 4 of the Argon rods and have never had an issue with any of them. I own probably 20 or so of the magnesium's, several helium's and just bought 4 of the z bones. I've been fishing with Kistler rods for 6 years now and I have only had one rod break and that was because of my big foot. Personally, I probably will always fish with the Kistler rod because of the sensitivity and lightness of their rods.
