I have found a dealer located in Canada that is selling ABEC 7's in packs of ten at a cheap price. Have any of you given these bearings a shot and what are your opinions?

Thanks,
USMCFISH

How Cheap? Who and Where? You get what you pay for. Cheap equals Cheap no matter how you multiply it or divide it.

There are some cheap imported bearings on the Market and there are some good ones. Those are STainless probably and if you want to spends some money on ABEC7's stick with hybrids.

well, here's what i think- from Lake Fork Tackle Repair  5/17/2012 7:59:51 AM
I would stick to the companies you read others use for their sources. Been doing this for long time and we still with Micro-Miniature and TG's Rocketfuel for bearings. By time you pay postage and exchange rate, the possibility of long length of delivery time, the "cheap" cost might just go up. We buy lots and lots of bearings from Tony, so we can pretty much justify the expense of getting them here. Something else to think about is this-suppose some of the bearings are bad? would the cost to return be worth it? I believe i would ask them if they check their bearings and ask them to ship "dry" so you can service them yourself.

The company is Mikes Reel Repair and they are a stainless bearing, they also have ceramics. Price is 25.00 for the stainless/10 and 55.00 for the ceramic/10.

Google that company and read the reviews from Bender, MS Gulf Coast  5/18/2012 6:04:33 AM
Heard some stories in the shop over the last few years. Not saying anything bad just check it out.

I've ordered some handles and pawls from them in the past with no issues. I was more concerned with the bearings and them being a good product... Google did reveal a lot though.

   I'd be... from Funky  5/23/2012 4:15:55 PM
very leery of any bearing I could buy for $2.50 that claimed to be ABEC 7.

several years ago during a skeeter owner tournament here on fork, i received several calls from anglers asking about the guy who was selling ABEC 7 hybrid ceramics for $8 a piece to crowd at the tournament. haha. I could'nt even buy them for 8 bucks. so who knows. hahah
