SUBJECT: # 7502: Trailer Light Trouble

With headlights off, My parking lights on my trailer come on when I press the brake. With headlights on the parking lights dim when I press the brake. Does anybody have a clue what is wrong?

The white wire has to be on a solid ground on the vehicle and on the trailer.

First the ground. Then check the ground and then the ground!sorta like realestate, only three factors there, Location location location! Get em right and your future is bright!
You ground is the problem.
suggest as alex pointed out, make sure you have a clean seperate wire, WHITE/ btw, to properly gorund you trailer. The ball is not dependable for it.
