Falls results From: Skeeter185 (67.33.246.178), North carolina
Our little bass club fished falls 11/6, i went thursday and caught 3 10" fish on a shad rap, caught 3 friday on a black trick worm / split shot (14"), needless to say, saturday was not any better, only caught 2 14" fish & broke one off. our tournament was won with 1 fish weighing 2 lbs. 12 fishermen, 11 zero's. i thought we just did not know how to catch'em, it sounds like we were not alone. falls is a beautifull lake but something has to be wrong with the bass fishing, it should not be that tough. where are all the big fish? Falls lake bassing From: Florida Basser (65.33.251.115), North carolina Fished Falls Lake out of Ledge Rock ramp a week ago. Went straight across from the ramp behind the standing timber and fished the east bank. Bass were way in the shallows on wood cover in mid day. The wind was blowing on that bank and stirring up the shallows. Water temp was 68 degrees. Did real well on black buzzbaits as shallow as I could throw them. Lost 5, one a 6 pound class fish. Boated 5 total for the day, most 2 to 3 pounds with one approaching 5 pounds. First cove to the left of the ramp has a nice beaver lodge on the left bank. Caught a 3 pound bass off the lodge with a black buzzer. Lost another there same size class. Never, ever, underestimate the fish catching ability of a buzzbait! Florida Basser |
