world record is false From: chuck (64.136.26.226), North carolina
I guess you did not see the .5 in the 22.5 ounce not 22 lbs 5 ounces not a world record bass
World Record From: Brent (71.133.66.185), California
The bass was 25.1 pounds, the old record was 22.4 I don't understand what your referring to.
April fools From: LilSkeeter (65.23.120.61), Georgia
Obviously, some folks never read the article in Bassmaster last year where someone pulled off the great April Fools scam with somewhat the same information. Fish was caught by Marc DeLIAR at FICTION LAKE!!! Shall we say, they got you hook line and sinker....lol
it is true From: fishlips (151.213.155.158), Georgia

Picture From: G man (65.144.97.251), Tennessee
guys there is a picture of it on this web site. Go to the other topics page. Scroll down to World record Largemouth. supposedly there is a story to this. Whether it stands or not that is a GIGANTIMOUS TOAD.
Stand correct From: LilSkeeter (68.215.215.134), Georgia
My apologies to all. After someone posted the espn site, it obviously ISNT the April Fools prank I thought it was. Congrats to Mac for sticking such a hawg!
April Fools From: LilSkeeter (68.215.215.134), Georgia
I may have spoken out of line when I made the Aprils fools comment but from the sounds of it, so was the way this FREAK of NATURE was caught or should I say snagged. A bedding fish that was foul hooked????
record From: cc (24.98.130.210), Virginia
I think it is a hoax last year a man and a woman claimed to have cought the record and released it. even snagged i think they would have kept it,I think if a Bass that large was swimming in a lake that small the State of California DNR would shock it up just to have the world record come from there, I personally dont think a LM bass could reach 25 lbs if so someone would have grown one in a farm
dont see any proof of picture that being caught From: Jerry ferguson (70.177.17.37), Texas
i dont see any of pictures that are being caught for world record and there is no proof of this much weight of 25 lbs bass.........
