Bassaholic, I'm going to be fishing the BFL on Grand on Sept 9th as a co-angler. I need to catch one fish to get enough points to ensure I make the regional tournament, that's my only goal for this tournament. If you were in my position of just needing one 14" keeper and not knowing where or what you would be fishing, then what baits would you use and how would you prepare ? Thanks in advance and I'm very much looking forward to fishing Grand, can't wait to get there. Heres my choice Lynn From: bassaholic (66.141.195.158), Oklahoma I would be throwing a shakey head jig,with a green punkin finesse worm. Fish that all day if you have too but I can gaurantee by the end of the day you will have at least one nice keeper. I appreciate it.
But ... From: Lynn Dollar (24.253.211.201), Oklahoma Ya know, a person wouldn't think that catching a keeper on Grand should be that difficult to do, considering that Grand is a great bass fishing lake , and all. But watch the results from that BFL and 50% of the co-angler field will zero. Thats pretty much held true for the past 5 or 6 years that the BFL has fished Grand in September or October. One year, about 60% of the field weighed a keeper, but the rest of the time its been between 50% and 55% . Funny thing, this bass fishin ........especially when limited to the back of the boat.
