Hi Dave, I just got back from Maine, I found the same thing with the river. The old haunts around Costigan were not as hot as last year. The Veazie Dam was lowered so much I couldn't float the boat off the trailer. The last two days we were there we went to Medway and had a ball. Found a lot of willing bass under the overhanging trees and around the bridge piers. Keep on casting. I'm planning on fishing the river this upcoming weekend and am hoping for some good action - let's keep our fingers crossed. I think the river has spoiled us so much in the past that we expect to catch tons of quality fish every time we go out. Even if the fishing is slow this weekend, I'll take solace in the fact that there still is no better place then being on the water with a good fishing buddy and a quality cigar.
