Lake around Portage From: Buzzman (24.127.96.245), Pennsylvania
Hey, Tearin em up I know the lake your talking about , I dont usually catch anything there . Can you tell me exactly which lures you were using (size , color and brand ) which areas of the lake you were fishing , line weight mono or braid , and go into detail about yuns technique ( t-rig , c-rig , doodling , flippin , pitchin , etc. ) You probably did'nt take a ph and d.o. in your most productive areas , but if you did I need that to . The lake Im referring to is associated with the "White Lady from Willow Beach", if you know what Im talking about??? I really don't want to say the name of the lake on here, but if you know the story of the white lady, you know exactly which lake Im talking about. I had a few takers on a tube (purple flake) and a big hit (no hookup) on a natural color jig n pig. However, the majority of the boaters came on blades! They are so versatile. Most guys would swear there aren't any bass in that lake only crappie, perch and some rock bass. Even the guy we were fishing beside was amazed at the quality of bass in that lake. Ive had a hold of some serious bass on that lake. Notice the terminology "had"! I'd be willing to bet there are 10 pounders in there! When I was a kid, you would see them just schooling on by while you were fishing for crappie. Like I said though, blades are a good start and you can't go wrong with white. Talk to you later Buzzman.
