Bring a green pumpkin jig, white SB, watermelon senko, and a crankbait or two. Fish will probably be shallow and some will still be in mouths of creeks. If you put in at Roanoke, go back under the Rt19 bridge and then to the left under the next bridge. Fish to the back of Laurel Creek. If you put in at Vandalia, go to Little Skin Creek and then under the road to the backwaters. Use all the baits until you find what they want. Even try the mouth of Little skin before you go in. I look forward to coming in and checking the lake out. Swj From: Bill Street (65.60.162.229), West virginia 5/4 and 5/5. My brother and I combined for 30 bass in 15 hours combined. Two fish over 3lb. The largest was 3.11. Most of the fish were in the 12 - 15 inch range. I did manage to stick a pig but it broke 14lb line. We launched at the marina and fished all of Walkersville and even stuck our head into Sandy Fork. All of the fish came shallow and most bit on weightless watermelon red senko. We caught two fish on a pumpkin jig. One fish on a brush hog and a couple on crankbait. No bites on spinnerbait. Suprisingly enough no bites on lizard or worm. The only other thing we caught fish on was a pumpkin green/black senko. Thanks for the info. The weekend was great. My dad had a blast and even managed a couple small saugeye. |
