Huites From: Mark Rea (72.254.129.255), Texas
We just returned from Lake Huites. For us the fishing was very slow at Huites. Nothing over 8 pounds and only 35 fish a day. Our camp manager transfered us to Lake Baccarac and then we killed them at Baccarac I caught 4 fish over 10 in two days of fishing and the numbers where great

Lake Huites trip From: Kevin Green (66.232.175.26), Virginia
It definately was a tough trip. It sounds like your #'s were right on. Did you weigh the fish at Baccarac or use a formula? very curious about that because there seems to be a lot big fish reports out of there. Lake Huites was exceptional for us in the fall thru February but has slowed considerably.

I just talked with the owner of one the Lodges of Huites he said he has closed his lodge on Lake Huites due to the slow bite on the Lake. I understand that you can either rebook for later date or get your money back or transfer to his operation on Lake Baccarac. It sounds to me that Huites is not the place to go until the bite returns
Lake Huites From: Kevin Green (66.232.175.26), Mexico
While the bite at Huites has been slow we still caught 27 fish over 5 pounds and up to an 8# 13oz.that we landed. We had a couple that would push ten on but couldn't get them in the boat. We had numerous strikes on the drop that we did not hook as well. I know the group before us were catching fish at the rate of ten good ones a day with 5 fish over 8 caught for a three day trip. I would not rate this as good to excellent by no means, but the fish are there, can you catch them! I still have not seen any recent pics out of Baccarac, and I certainly believe the fish are there, that's why I am curious if these are weighed fish or formulated, still waiting on that reply. While I do not understand the closure of huites lodge I certainly understand wanting to get your clients on the best possible bite if you have the choice. It is also my understanding that the owner has a 75% ownership in Baccarac and a 50% in Huites. Huites is alive and well!!
Do What From: Paul (75.32.62.34), Texas
Do What? What are you talking about Kevin. Reading this it sounds like fishing a is lot better at Baccarac and someone has been doing the right thing in moving people to the better lake. What is your angle?
fishing From: kevin green (66.232.182.73), Mexico
It is definately the right thing to do with a client if you can move them. I am just responding to the Lake Huite lodge closing sounding as if the fishing is terrible. It was alot better than I have here at home.
