We have several guys in the BVBA that still can't tell the difference, but we have many that can.I just dont understand how some people cant figure it out.I mean they dont even look the same.Crazy uuh.

Yes the stripers are on top, very spread out and not hitting that well but when they do it is like hooking onto a train even for just a 6-7 lb fish.

I know I would not have won with the 2 LM I had and the rest 12-13" spots because everyone else probably caught some spots too, but I just hate to go to the scales without a limit and I also hate to see a tournament with 60+ boats in it and only 11 people get to weigh anything. If I had known the weights would be so low though I would have probably not spent 2 hours chasing the stripers, we only needed 3 lbs to go from 11th to 2nd so 2 more would have done it and the morning bite is usually better than afternoon on Beaver for me. I think I may start fishing a club tourney next year..anyone need a partner? :)

You had two nice largemouth, you weren't more than 1 more good keeper away from the $. You sure as heck did better than most of those guys!

You should seriously consider fishing the BLTT next year, it's absolutely the best local circuit there is, and the payouts make it actually worth burning gas for. I'd team up with you, but I already have a great partner who's not going anywhere. If you are interested in fishing it next year, I'll ask around at the next few tourneys and keep my ears open and see if anyone is looking for one.

Do you prefer to fish boater or non-boater, or switch back and forth between events?

Chris

Tournaments From: Flipper. (192.252.76.200), Arkansas
I prefer non-boater...no problem using my boat that is fine but I am very new to tournament fishing so rather have the other guy running the boat
Off the subject but ... From: Champ188 (70.178.248.246), Arkansas
Hey Flipper, hybrid's comment about schooling action on Greers Ferry in September reminded me that you post here often about Greers. I'm going to be fishing the Central Pro-Am championship down there the first weekend of October and could really use and would greatly appreciate any information you might be willing to share. I live in Bella Vista and haven't fished Greers in years but am not afraid to fish clear, barren waters — Greers can't do anything worse to me that Beaver hasn't already done. :)
october on greers From: Flipper. (192.252.76.200), Arkansas
Post a msg closer to tournament time and I can tell you what I know. Dad and his crew (4 other people) have cabins there and fish all the time so even if I don't fish I at least can tell you what is working for them.
