Thanks for the report. From: Darren (76.19.31.45), New hampshire
If you're not going to tell us where you fished, why bother. Perhaps I'm only speaking for myself but, knowing about your buddies "flippin" techniques means absolutely nothing to me. I misunderstood the purpose of this forum, I thought it was about "bass fishing reports". Thought that included where you actually fished? Silly me. Hey,,,,,,,I know you, didn't I see you on Lake Horace yesterday? What happened to your inner tube????

Sounds like jason and steve can really catch some good fish but what did you catch with your little worm besides alot of b/s
Big Secret! From: Frosty (64.12.117.5), Massachusetts
Everything is a big secret on these fishing forums. People think that because they caught a couple of fish, that people will converge on the place in busloads! Check out the NEF site. Guys actually hide behind snowstorms because someone might recognize the area. PARANOIA!
Perhaps From: Jack A. Lopez (192.155.59.254), New hampshire
Perhaps the comments that bash this man for not telling them the longitude and latitude of the locations and naming the baits and techniques used is a little juvenille. I know where this lake is, and based on the comments from the few here, I wouldn't tell where it is either in fear that I would see them on the lake.

Jack,

I could not agree with you more. Some fishermen can really take advantage of a situation. They go to a great spot and destroy the good fish that are there for their own bragging rights and egos. I know the lake that you speak of, after all, if you used some simple deductive reasoning, you can figure out what lakes end in 'ER' in New Hampshire and go from there. Personally, I think John made it too easy for them to begin with. But now I know who we are dealing with here. To answer the bitter questions about what you can use on the lake......really anything. Crank Baits, Power Baits, Master Baits and rubber worms with a 3/0 or 2/0 hook. The fishing is THAT good, you can throw nearly anything out there and get a nice fish. Heck, I even used the butt end of my cigarette and pulled in a 32" Pike. To be more specific, it was a Newport Light. I hope that helps! This place is a gem, a hidden gem, and damn anyone who gets bitter for people wanting to keep it that way.

Hidden Gems and other stuff From: Twins (206.183.140.244), New hampshire
Ok. alright lets all chill. I don't personally know any one wo has ever posted at this site, so when I read a post by a regular contributer that seem s a bit harsh, I chalk it up to a bad day and maybe something posted here was the last straw. We've all been there , though maybe in different ways. I can definitely see Darren's point,in that the info. the other guy put out was not terribly helpful. It simply told me that someone somewhere is catching fish. I already know this. So why bother post. Well, i guess it confirmed that this is good time to pitch the brush but other than that....most bass vets alredy know this. I also definitely understand the concern that guys will flock to the named pond and "ruin it". BUT,...I've rarely seen that happen though in many years. I don't always believe every report is totally true, so I may not bother visiting a "hot spot " that is named. Also, I've fished some other "hot spots " and found the fishing poor, so ....who knows. So my two cents is this: I post because I want other fishermen to know whats going on with the fish on a certain lake at a certain time so that if they are trying to decide where to go on a day off, they have some useful input and won't waste an hours drive if two other poster guys say the fishing sucks this week or that the ramp is out , etc. I would hope that others would also share their info. Guys who want to keep gems hidden( and I get your point)don't seem to mind running out to specified lakes and forcing the rest of us to compete with them while keeping their own little gems all to themselves. Thats selfish as hell. If you aren't willing to be sopecific, then you should benefit just as little as those of us who read generic no location post. Twins

This is a BASS FISHING REPORTS SITE not a BASS FISHING THIS IS HOW I DID TODAY SITE. If your not willing to post all the pertinent information, don't post. You may have well fished in Sri Lanka for all we care. No-one is asking you to devulge your lures or "logitude/latitude". General info helps everyone enjoy the sport more. If the lake was north and they are still pre-spawn, doesn't that help everyone decide what part of the state to fish?

I'm fairly certain that anyone who spends time following and posting to this site, is somewhat of an avid fisherman who has thousand of dollars invested in boats, motors and gear and is not going to go "pound" a lake because one person had a good day. To do so would be self destructive, and only hurt the sport further.

This site and others like it would not be in existence if people only posted how they did on the lake today. The point that "you can figure out the lake by the "ER" is a moot one. Why should I have to?
