Hamilton for Fly-by From: 31Airborne (147.216.253.14), Virginia
Know Hamilton well. Beautiful lake. Challenge this time of year are the recreational boaters. Worst I've ever seen. If at all possible, go during the week.

Where to go - you can pick any feeder creek you wish. They all hold fish. Recommend concentrating on main and secondary points and sharp creek turns in feeder creeks. Look for rock walls w/ steep drops at these turns. Popular spots are Little Mazarn, Hot Springs Creek, and Big Mazarn basin (my favorite).

Jigs, spotstickers, deep divers will produce the most fish. Have a spook or Sammy tied on for topwater. Use greens in clearer water, redbug or tequila sunrise in stained water.

Good luck, let us know how you do.

ATW, B

Hooks were not the problem From: pac (70.232.38.14), Virginia
The paint batch was bad not the hooks. I have only straighened 1 hook on the finnesse jig in the 3 years or so since I began making them. I use a MH (#6)Falcon rod and my drag is set fairly tight but loose enough that a bass could pull some line if they need to. I haven't used the finnese jig on a flipping stick. What happened when the hook bent? How were you fishing it?

Wait until you see the hook on the new Weed Sneaker jigs I sent. I've been flipping them on #30 line and hauling the hawgs out of the cover on my flipping stick. Drag is locked down all the way.

pac tac jigs From: 31Airborne (12.217.27.95), Virginia
Pac - was fishing them on a 7' All Star flippin stick w/ 17 lb XT. Fairly shallow - maybe 4-5', up against stumps. I also keep my drag loose enough to allow the bigger fish to pull a little. You also know I don't cheated much on my hooksets.

Paint on the latest batch you sent is holding up much better. Are you doing something different to cure them??

B
