You killed that bass with the old F-9! Scary From: Scott (72.248.137.162), Massachusetts The bass hit like a train. It fought for 2 or 3 mins.. I thought the line ( 10lbs Spiderwire ) would hold it. I thought wrong. The Rapala F9 is my go to bait. I call it my fish finder.. pike From: torpedo (71.243.21.242), Massachusetts i dont think it was a pike you caught, it must have been a pickerel. I don't believe there are any pike in Martins Pond. If it was 6 pounds, thats a huge pickerel. Did u weigh it on a digital scale? Mass. pond fishing From: Had (70.159.111.226), Georgia Scott I lived in Mass back in the late 90's and would fish a local pond that the guy I fished with said was named Walden pond but not the famous one up there. We fished mostly at night using a Zoom crawdad texas rigged and would catch between 10 and 30 fish in just a few hours. Try that the next time you are on the pond after dark and let me know how you do. I found out about this when I dropped my flash light in about 3ft of water and there were no less than 5 small crawfish in the light beam. I know its hard to belive but I caught a few fish over 5lbs doing this. The guy that had been fishing the pond his whole life was amazed that there were fish that size in that pond. As far Walden Pond is concerned.. I have only heard of just 1 Walden Pond. I know it is loaded with small mouth Bass. What city was it in? |
