Big B, depending on what you like to fish for: Thunderbird, south, Norman: muddy water, bass, crappie, saugeye, catfish Hefner, north, OKC: sand bass, walleye, catfish Draper, east, OKC: sand bass, some bass, catfish Those are the metro choices.

Majority of fishing choices are lakes to the east & south of OKC, both large and small. Fishing choices reduce drastically moving north & west! Hope this helps.

thank you From: Big B (69.243.203.218), Oklahoma

Well Big B, I think Lee left out one fairly important comment about Hefner. It has a fair largemouth population, with some quality bass on the bunch, and also it is becoming a good smallmouth fishery. All according to reports from friends as well as newspaper and magazine articles. Arcadia Lake in Edmond has some good largemouth as well.
