PB Pool From: Mojorig (67.66.119.143), Arkansas
I was out there yesterday too. It was the first itme I had been to this pool. I caught one keeper on black and blue jigs next to the flooded grass. Two by wood pillings on the jig and one on a RC 1.5. I lost a couple of keepers on the jig and two on a bronzeye frog. That is a very interesting pool but it seemed difficult to fish with all the boats in there but I guess that was due to the high river level. For Mojo From: 31Airborne (155.153.20.1), Virginia Lotsa good water in the PB pool. The harbor area gets crwoded because it holds a lot of quality fish. Think Rick Clunn's bag back in the '80s still is the record - caught off of sunken cover near the main river entrance to the harbor. Several feeder creeks/bayous/back water areas to fish, no shortage of wing dams and riprap on the main river. As the emergent (willow) grass comes in, you'll find miles of shoreline that hold fish. Where grass, wood, and riprap come together you [obviously] have a good thing. When you fish the dock area in the back of the harbor, do not ignore the first and second drops. Lotsa submerged cover. Patience is the key here because you'll have no shortage of company, and most of that company will want to cut in front of you so they can beat the bank. ATW, B
Pool 4 From: Mojorig (67.66.119.143), Arkansas Thank you for the info. I usually fish Pool 2 but there was a couple big tournaments going on there, so I decided to fish Pool 4. Im not sure which boat you was in but I was in a red and white basscat. |
