What is the water like up there? Were you wading or floating the river? If you were floating where did you put in. Jeff Nottoway From: Jeff (68.57.160.232), Virginia We put in at a public ramp rt 630 about 3-4 miles from jarratt.we used a 10 ft jon boat and a trolling motor. we launched and went up river about an hour and floated back and fished holes. a few places we had to pull the boat over sandbars nothing major.there are some 5-6 ft holes. the water was clear, we some some big gar thru this stretch also.we also went about a 1/2 downriver and fished a 7-8 ft hole. i would defintely go back and fish this stretch again. no way could you launch a jon boat on a trailer with an outboard, the water is too skinny for large boats. good luck jeff |
