This is probably one of the prettiest lakes in Tennessee. Most of the time its pretty clear and deep. Your classic Tennessee mountain lake. I haven't been there since the spring when the smallmouth were biting, but its a good lake most of the year. I would highly advise pulling the boat. Try one of the river arms. I also would advise taking a GPS because you can get lost on this lake at night VERY easily. I wish they would get some TWRA personnel down there and stop the night skiing. Surely there is some type of law that forbids this. Norris Lake at night From: nighthawk (205.188.116.134), Tennessee Take a bunch of black-n-blue power craws, a bunch of purple or red shad power worms, the black light, and some skeeter dope. Fish the steep banks where the river channels swings against the banks. Fish the bait all the way out to the boat, in 20-25 ft of water and hang on. Lots of hits are at the 15 to 25 ft range. You may hang the world record smallie down there. The TDNR shocked up a 12-4 and a 12-3 off the same point a few years back.
