Lake Shelbyville From: J. Qwest (206.159.111.2), Illinois
Yes, the lake does fish different on the weekend and under ideal conditions as any lake does with the amount of fishing pressure most of the lakes receive. I have caught a lot of fish on the lake and my advise would be to fish as many points with cover as you can in a day, especially on the weekend unless you have a point which is stacked with fish. Typically, I will fish 15-20 points adjacent to a drop in a day in a tournament in the 8'-20' with a carolina rig or jig. If the fish are active; you will get bit within 15 minutes, if not move and come back later, if the point has been productive in the past. Also, the first half hour to 45 minutes can be productive with a topwater bait around main lake points, riprap(dam area), or some of the timbered coves. Good fishin.
