tried to enter a post about 3 weeks ago(last time I was able to go). Caught quite a few small fish on Mon and Tues. July 23/24. Fished Mon evening and Tuesday morning. Was done by about 11 a.m. Caught 4 really nice 3.5 lb fish. 3 sm and 1 lm. Don't know where they are right now. I'm planning on going down next Mon/Tues. Just staying at the Knights Inn across the street cause its so close. Caught all of mine on watermellon/red wacky worms and watermellon red zoom super crawl fished over the grass and in the cattails. Have fun. smallies From: mike (24.125.20.38), Virginia they are there. we use to do good starting out at the damn fishing stike king bitsy tubes in the black/red and so on. fish them on spinning tackle, 8lb test. you have to reel really slow to let the tube tick down the rock. reel don't hop. caught some monster rainbows doing this also. when are you guys going to get that 5 pound spot??????? also last year while fishing the spill way in oct and nov i caught some huge smallies that i guess had been sucked through the damn.
