Basin fishing From: Ranger dude (209.209.218.234), Louisiana
Fishman. go to Little Bayou Sorrell off the intercoastal canal to the Bayou Boutte area. sit down at the point where the Bayou starts at the Int Canal fish very close to the cover from the bank to the outside trees...sometimes they are on the outside trees, other times they are close to the bank. 1/4oz spinner baits, brush hogs or baby brush in junebug or the water melon colors. Most bites are in the Int Canal end. slow down when you go by the drains that come out of the woods, especially if water is running out. We had 3 fish that bit at the boat off the drains. Just finished BFL my partner and I had at least 13lb. The Basin is tough fishing, but one beautiful place.
